I3.002:Building the Licensing Strategy: The 5-Entity Skewer

Why We Made the Negotiation Text Public

Let’s start with a little story. Imagine a classroom of kids, all gathered around a bright table, building the world’s tallest tower out of blocks. They stack each one higher and higher, and the excitement builds with every new addition. Suddenly, one kid stops and says, “Why don’t we make a tower so tall that it reaches the moon?” And just like that, the sky’s the limit.

At MATRIX KIDS CARDS, we believe that with the right tools and partners, we can all reach for the moon. That’s why we’ve made our negotiation text public. We want you to have the blocks (or cards!) you need to build something amazing—and to do it with the least amount of time, cost, and effort. After all, why keep all the fun to ourselves when we can share it and create something even bigger together?

This guide is your blueprint for building strong partnerships, whether you’re negotiating for early education, services, or products. With our step-by-step approach, you’ll be able to draft your own negotiation text in no time—while still leaving room for a little fun along the way.

Introducing the Three Stages

Here’s how we break down our negotiation process into three easy-to-follow stages:

  1. Stage 1: Testing and Probing
This is where we get to know each other. We’ll test the waters, share some ideas, and see if we’re a good fit.
  2. Stage 2: Screening and Entity Qualification
Time to get a little more serious. We’ll check if the stars align, making sure both parties meet each other’s expectations.
  3. Stage 3: Presenting the Preliminary Licensing Proposal
Now, we’re ready to make magic happen! We’ll present a proposal that shines a light on all the benefits of working together and how we can bring the project to life.

Think of this process like baking a cake. First, you gather your ingredients (testing), then you mix and measure (screening), and finally, you bake and frost the cake (proposal)—ready to share with everyone!

ATTACHED Proposal for MATRIX KIDS CARDS Licensing Agreement

1. Opening with Hunter’s Story: The Dream Kindergarten

“Mom, please read the story for me.” “Okay, how old is mom this year?” “22!” “What will mom open?” “Mom is opening the best kindergarten in the world in France.” “When?” “December 31, this year.”

Hunter was always full of big ideas and boundless imagination. When he was wrapping up his kindergarten days, our conversations revolved around his fascination with creating the world’s best kindergarten, one that would be filled with love, learning, and joy. His dream became our shared story—a story that started as a thought experiment and grew into something much bigger.

This is the story of the Hunter Card Thought Experiment: a journey that began with a simple idea from a five-year-old and evolved into a powerful matrix card system designed to spark creativity and critical thinking in young children. We’ve watched as children in communities just like yours embraced this system, bringing their own imaginations to life through play and learning. If Hunter can believe in his dream, why can’t we all?

Teachers reported that students were more engaged, parents were thrilled with the creativity the cards inspired, and the county saw an increase in educational program participation.”
  • Example 2: Emily’s Story
